Description

TechCamp Vietnam trains 62 participants on media ethics, traditional and social media strategy, and media technology. Sessions are delivered by U.S. and Vietnamese facilitators, preparing Vietnam’s provincial and ministry-level spokespersons to effectively articulate messaging, address disinformation, professionally engage with local and international media, and manage crisis communications.

August 9 | Day 1

U.S. Ambassador and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs will kick off the bilateral summit
9:20 AM - 9:35 AM Welcome - TechCamp Program Designers

TechCamp Program Designers give an overview of the TechCamp, what participants should expect, and how to get the most out of the experience. Discuss the use of Slack (or Whatsapp) and invite participants who have not yet been able to access the platform to get assistance during the break
9:35 AM - 9:50 AM Speed Geeking Explanation

Participants join their predetermined groups and briefly introduce themselves

Participants move throughout the room to listen to trainers introduce themselves and learn about their training sessions

Participants are instructed to rank the training sessions they would like to attend, see table below, grab a coffee, and go to their brainstorming group
