On the 3rd and 4th of November, 2022, TechCamp trainers and participants will be in Sydney, Australia, developing strategies for engineering ethical journalism in the Indo-Pacific region. The interactive event is hosted by the Centre for Media Transition at the University of Technology, Sydney in partnership with the U.S. Embassy and Consulate.
The two-day hands-on workshop will include six trainers from a diverse array of professional backgrounds along with youth leaders from Australia, New Zealand, Kiribati, Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Fiji, Niue, Tonga, Cook Islands, and Solomon Islands.
The main topics that will be covered at TechCamp Australia are the spread of misinformation and disinformation online, as well as the strategies used to limit it. The program will consist of interactive training sessions centered on the creation and implementation of affordable and innovative solutions for local problems. We can’t wait to see what the trainers and participants come up with together!
