Description

Digital technology has changed the world, connecting us with information at the touch of a finger. Regular internet access, smart phones and other technological advances have brought us all closer together and have given rise to whole new industries. But in addition to positive changes, the pace and scale of this technological revolution have created space for nefarious actors. Identity theft, data breaches, fake news, phishing and hacking are among the many dangers we all face online.

“TechCamp Namibia: Cybersecurity for Everyone” will connect digital security experts with policymakers, industry leaders, educators, law enforcement and civil society leaders from around southern Africa, starting a dialogue about staying safe in cyberspace. Participants will learn to identify threats, defend against vulnerabilities, investigate incidents, harden their networks, educate the next generation and safeguard valuable information using cutting-edge strategies and state-of-the-art tech tools.
